Hi, I’m Sarah Hetrick. Thanks for stopping by!

Since we can’t do this over a cup of coffee, here’s a little about me:
Originally from Phoenix, I ventured out to Dallas for college in 2006 and never looked back. I’ve now been a Texan for almost half my life, and I can safely say y’all is officially part of my vocabulary. After graduating with a degree in Communications, I spent time in Florence as an au pair for an Italian family. I fell in love with travel – and Italy – and spent several years seeing the world and working in the nonprofit space. Once my wanderlust wore off, I moved to Austin for tech, nature, and creativity, and it did not disappoint. I worked for a couple of years as Marketing Manager at a local digital agency and eventually joined the world of tech to build and manage marketing strategies from concept to execution.

Like any true Austinite, I’m obsessed with tacos, lattes, and anything outdoors. Here’s the proof!

When not doing the typical Austin things, you can find me at church, the gym, or hiking in the mountains somewhere.

Customer Marketing Manager, 2022

Developed strategy and built out new customer marketing function to influence retention and grow revenue through engagement, advocacy, and trust

Established a regular pipeline of customer references by developing and launching Rev’s first Customer Advocacy Program

Worked collaboratively with product marketing to optimize messaging and customer communication strategy for launches

Campaign Marketing Manager, 2021

Supported omni-channel campaigns to help drive enterprise revenue through acquisition, expansion, and retention in order to meet or exceed revenue and pipeline targets.

Worked cross-functionally with Content, Creative, Demand Generation, and Product Marketing teams to develop creative assets and seamlessly launch integrated marketing campaigns.

Built reporting system to continuously measure campaign success and made data-driven recommendations to improve customer experience and optimize campaign performance.

Owned email marketing function, implemented best practices, and improved email performance.

Marketing Manager, 2018 – 2021

Manage internal marketing efforts, including building strategy and overseeing execution of campaigns for email, social media, SEO, paid search, and content marketing with data-driven analysis and optimization.

Hire, train, supervise, and mentor marketing interns.

Develop marketing strategies for clients across a variety of industries, creating personas, strategic messaging, and a tactical execution plan.

Build and execute comprehensive social media strategies for clients including eCommerce startups and global Fortune 500 corporations.

Design promotional materials (brochures, flyers, e-blasts, digital graphics and campaigns) for clients in a variety of industries

Develop messaging and update artwork/design for monthly direct mail pieces and print ads, working within tight deadlines

Marketing Designer, 2017 – 2018

Manage the creation, scheduling, and publishing of high quality, original content across multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).

Design marketing communications, such as flyers, brochures and exhibition-related projects and assist with the production of artwork, sourcing images, print buying and checking copy.

Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.

Research industry topics to produce weekly blog post and provide relevant and engaging educational content to users.

Buckner International

Missions Coordinator, 2013 – 2016

Collaborated with international staff from 5 countries to create trip itineraries that would support community transformation goals and result in further engagement of trip participants

Recruited trip participants through conference exhibitions, online platforms, and creative social media marketing campaigns, resulting in 67 percent increase in number of trips over one year

Led teams of up to 40 people on 3-4 international mission trips each year

Coordinated logistics for 10-15 international trips at a time, including developing and managing the trip budget and securing airfare and lodging

Globe Aware

Developed and managed online marketing campaigns to effectively build brand awareness and drive traffic to social media pages

Organized and compiled photo databases, produced a weekly travel blog, and updated and edited web content
